Megaflow T series Horizontal Split Case Pumps are the “big guns” of the pumping world; used when high flow rates low pressure is needed.
Regent Megaflow are an axially split, double suction pump, with a “between bearings” design, used for high volume flows. These are normally foot-mounted, bareshaft units, for coupling to either a motor or engine. There is a design variation allowing split case pumps to be built as vertical in-line models. The rotating element can be removed by lifting off the upper casing half without disturbing the motor or pipework. Low shaft deflection due to the “between bearings” construction. Virtually no axial hydraulic thrust due to the back-to-back, double suction design. This also improves pump efficiency as no power is lost in balancing hydraulic thrust.
Normally Cast Iron or Ductile (SG) Iron Casings, with Bronze or Cast Iron Impeller, Stainless Steel Shaft and either Packed Glands or Mechanical Seals. All stainless steel construction may also be provided.
